Data methodology
TradeFi presents a consolidated view of tokenized assets, DeFi protocol activity, exchange-traded products, and network analytics. Figures are refreshed at fixed intervals and each metric is labeled to reflect what it measures.
Our approach
Headline totals combine network-level tracked asset values, DeFi protocol totals, and ETP assets under management where applicable. Each layer uses the source types below. Cross-network views apply consistent labeling but respect network-specific definitions — totals should not be read as a single homogeneous pool.
Source taxonomy
Metrics derived from publicly verifiable on-chain state and transaction activity.
Structured data supplied by issuers and licensed product vendors.
Established public market and reference data providers. DeFi protocol totals use DeFiLlama; market reference data uses CoinGecko where published.
Issuer, asset, and contract metadata verified and maintained by TradeFi.
Aggregates and derived indicators built from the sources above.

Transparency
We publish this methodology so users can interpret our data responsibly and avoid over-interpreting aggregate figures.
- Every aggregate displays its metric label and data timestamp (as of).
- Cross-network figures include a methodology disclaimer where totals combine different network definitions.
- Figures are indicative snapshots, not real-time valuations or investment advice.
- Coverage reflects integrated issuers, curated assets, and supported networks — not the entire global RWA market.
